it was a realy great day in Ephesus ancients area with the charming atmosphere and l was very excited in Sirince village by homemade foods and organic fruits. I took the day trip to Ephesus from Istanbul. It was very interesting and cool. The tour guide was extremely knowledgable about all the sites that were visited. While there were other sites to visit such as the House of Mary and the Temple of Artemis, I found the actual city of Ephesus to be the best. I could spend a few more hours going through all the nook and crannies of the city. I would also have preferred to also go inside the museum where the cerramics were held, but that was not part of the tour. I would say for future reference, that it would be wise to cut out the House of Mary or go there very, very quickly and include the tour of the cermaics part of Ephesus. Again, I could have spent a at least three more hours in Ephesus and not even noticed that the time had elapsed. All and all a good trip. I would adivse taking the trip if you have the time.

I spent one day with my family in Ephesus and it was just perfect. Besides visiting the ruins of the old city Ephesus and the home of the Virgin Mary, our tourist guide (very attentive and with a great English) also took us to a parade of Armani's winter collection and in a carpet factory where we understand the whole process of how the famous Turkish carpets are made and even had the opportunity to have an authentic Turkish meal. :) It was a perfect day. I was extremely pleased with Mustafa Ceviz and The Land of Civilizations Tours who i arranged online to provide me with a day trip to Ephesus. Everything went smoothly ( except would recommend that the cab driver who picks you from your hotel is aware that the flight in domestic from Istanbul to Izmir) I was impressed with our guide... the bus ride and the overall efficiency of this trip - which i might add seeing Ephesus was the # travel experience of my lifetime! Ephesus Day trip from Istanbul I had read good reviews for Mustafa Ceviz's tours (Land of Civilizations Travel, aka Istanbul Tour Services) so we decided to ask him to make our Ephesus day trip arrangements. I emailed Mustafa from the U.S. and he quickly responded. To summarize: Mustafa's arrangements were flawless!! My friend and I had an incredible day in Ephesus. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We decided to wait until we arrived in Istanbul and make the arrangements personally since Mustafa's office is so conveniently located in the Sultanahmet district - and we wanted to wait and see what day would be best weather-wise. I do NOT recommend waiting - it gives Mustafa more flexibility if you don't wait until the last minute. It was nice meeting him, however - he's a very nice man. We sat and had tea with him. Transportation to and from both airports was excellent - worry-free and without any hassle. This was important to me and I was not disappointed. Our guide for Ephesus, Nico, was incredible. I cannot emphasize enough what an excellent guide he was. He and his driver took such good care of us. He was knowledgeable and personable (very charming) and we felt well cared for. Our flight to Izmir was an hour and a half late because of an emergency landing at Ataturk Airport (totally beyond Mustafa's control) and Nico waited for us!! We were amazed. We had a beautiful lunch at a place called - I think - Ephesus Carpet cooperative. Lunch was made with lovely fresh local ingredients and was very delicious. I am a vegetarian and they made me a special meal. The carpet cooperative was very informative and - oh, my - everything was so beautiful. You have to understand- this is how the Turkish people (and in many other parts of the world) operate. If you're totally opposed to being asked to look at someone's beautiful carpets (in this instance) then you can very assertively say NO. Or you can make all your own tour arrangements in a foreign country. Just bite the bullet and let them show you their incredibly beautiful carpets and tapestries. We were asked if we wanted to go to a leather store and we adamantly said NO. And that was the end of that. The Ephesus Day Tour included Ephesus - Library of Celsus, the small theater, the Grand Theater, and everything in between - the Temple of Artemis ruins (one of the 7 Ancient Wonders, but only one column is left), the Isabey Mosque, and the Virgin Mary house. Picked up and returned to our hotel and airfare included. One of the best travel bargains I've ever had.

Ephesus Tour -Excellent Service I want to commend Mr. Mustafa Ceviz, I book Ephesus Tour with him and the service is excellent, his driver was able to pick us up on time at 5:00 am then when we reached Izmir, somebody was there also to welcome us. I am also grateful because the tour guide explained things very well, I am just a bit disappointed with the Temple of Artemis because there's nothing much left to see, but at least the tour guide was very honest about it. The buffet lunch included in the tour is also okay, overall, me and my husband's very much satisfied.

We needed to book early because the trip included flights from Istanbul to Izmir and we needed to secure seats on the flights. After arriving in Istanbul, Mustafa followed up with us at our hotel and confirmed all the details etc. Our pick ups were all waiting for us at our hotel and at the airports and the drivers were great. Our tour guide for our day in Ephesus was excellent, professional, spoke perfect English, and was very knowledgeable about the sites visited. The tour was excellent value for money and I would certainly recommend Mr Mustafa Ceviz and Istanbul tour services.

Mustafa Ceviz is professional, promptly answered all our emails, and met with us at our hotel the night before to confirm details. The day trip itself was very memorable and all logistics were superbly handled. I would highly recommended Land of Civilizatins Travel as they are efficient and professional, and the cost of this trip was almost half that of other competitors. We loved Turkey and the Turkish people - they are honest, hard working, punctual and efficient.

I was visiting Turkey for 4 days, so had to choose a single day trip to Ephesus. All i can say is that i am really glad i decided to book my trip with this company. Mr. Mustafa Civez was in contact with us since the beginning, replying all our inquiries, and guiding us for the payment and instructions for our trip. He met us in the hotel the night prior to our tour and provided us with some additional indications about what we should expect. He also provided us with his business card to contact him in case we had any inquiry during our trip. We were picked up at the hotel at 5:30a.m, and arrived at Ephesus at around 8:30a.m. We visited all the places that were promised in the trip, had a good lunch, and then toured a carpet factory. This was interesting, but we wasted some time while being offered to buy carpets. Other than that, the tour is HIGHLY recommended. At the end of the tour, we could not find the driver at the Istanbul airport, but all it took was a phone call to Mr. Mustafa and he fixed the misunderstanding in less than 5 minutes. I am aware booking a tour well in advance and trusting an unknown agency can be risky, but we stayed on schedule and everything that was promised, was delivered. I recommend this tour 100%, and would not hesitate to book a tour again with them if i visit Turkey again.

One Day Tour Only. Our one day tour, arranged through Mr. Mustafa Civez. It was great tour to Ephesus and Blessed Mary's House in Izmir, even the weather is raining is totally hassle free and well organized. From Hotel's to Airport transfers round trip all were co-ordinated. I will call Mr. Mustafa Civez (Land of Civilization Travel) for our next trip. He is very responsible and reliable person.

We took the Ephesus Day Tour on the 19Sept2014 and it was amazing. The arrangements were excellent and the tour operator was always very helpful. I would recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Turkey. It's a full day tour and so worth it for what you get. Excellent!!

I took a one day tour of Ephesus and the surrounding area with The Land of Civilizations Travel. The day was organized by Mr. Mustafa Ceviz. It was a wonderful day. I was picked up at the airport in Izmir and driven to the house of the Virgin Mary. From there, we continued on to Ephesus, where my tour guide really shined. He was very well versed in the history of the area and was an excellent guide. Having studied the history before I got there, I also knew quite a bit about the area so I can confirm his knowledge. After an incredible time spent in Ephesus, I was provided lunch at a local "school" where carpets were being made by teenage young women learning the skill. There was a bit of sales pitch associated with the visit, but they did take no for an answer and we continued on from there. My last sightseeing stop was St. John's Basilica and the Citadel. Again, just incredible history to see. Very enlightening. After that, I was driven to my hotel in Izmir where I was dropped off at the door for a relaxing evening by the sea. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend a Saturday while on business travel. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the sales pitch. I had a similar (but much worse) experience the weekend before in Istanbul, so I was very sensative to it

We just returned from a week in Istanbul. There were six of us in our group. Our tours were prompt and efficiently handled, tour guides were engaging and knowledgeable, and we came away with a warm feel for the for Istanbul and Ephesus.
